Plot synopsis
Moscow in the 1920s and 1930s : a time when all members of society were supposed to be equal. But reality was otherwise. Marina Goldovskaya chose a symbolic place, representative of a mysterious society, unknown to ordinary citizens, and capable of offering a different point of view about socialism : the famous "110 School" for the Moscow elite. She recreates the life of the school through the fortunes and memories of its former students : Svetlana Bukharin, Veta Gamarick, Vitya Fisher, Marcus Wolf.
Thanks to their souvenirs, to photos, archives, school books, journals, etc., a whole universe is revealed to us. It is rich with feeling, dreams, aspirations, and reflections on this unknown page of Russian history that questions quite a few generally accepted ideas. Through this exceptional story, and these uncommon lives, we also receive some thoughts for the future...
