The Great Patriotic War. In a German-occupied southern port city, explosions constantly occur: warships, tankers with oil, transports with food take off into the air. Under the guise of artists, Soviet intelligence officers Galina Ortynskaya (Irina Miroshnichenko) and Sergei Vinogradov (Alexander Belyavsky) commit sabotage under the very nose of the Nazi invaders. The commandant of the city Reinhard strengthens the security of the port, organizes raids and arrests in the city, trying to eliminate a group of underground fighters ... At the risk of her life, Ortynskaya reshoots a map of minefields for the landing of the partisans who are preparing from the sea. Hiding from persecution, she dies. The map is delivered to the partisans by Sergei Vinogradov.
