Plot synopsis
In a desolate Russian village, where several elderly women and an old man are the only inhabitants, a young woman is expecting a baby. The father of the baby is unknown, but the inhabitants have their own ideas about it. Two sisters, Praskoviya, 76 years old, and her elder sister Mariya, are also waiting for a miracle. According to the village legend, Praskoviya was charmed, and that’s why she ceased to grow. And her elder sister has been looking after her all her life, having abandoned her own happiness; and now she indeed makes much of her. In the village named "Bliss" everyone is expecting a miracle to happen, but no one notices that it has been around during all this time.
