The action of the film begins in a small provincial town where the young Boris has arrived to celebrate his birthday. After the party, he finds the body of Katya, who died strangely the day before, and works to solve her problems. But suddenly, he sees the murdered girl again and realizes that she is possessed by a demon. Boris is hired to work in the circus as a clown. At the same time, his beloved girlfriend Galya, whom he abandoned in the past, returns to town and very soon they are arguing in the street. Meanwhile, at the fair, the gathered beggars sell miraculous talismans, the secret of which only three people know - Maxim, the mother of Katya and Khan, who, moreover, is a real demon. To protect herself, Katya asks Boris not to leave the circus. Nonetheless, Hana persuades Boris not to show up at the fairs. However, just before leaving, Boris finds a blood clown mask on the floor, which tells him that he has been chosen to destroy a demon about to break free.
