Plot synopsis
Based on the tales by Pavel Bazhov. In distant times there was Procopych, the best stone-dresser at the Urals plant. No one could get the secrets of his skill except Danilushka, a herdboy, who learnt everything and soon surpassed his teacher. Danilushka grew up, became a respected master, met his bride. But on his wedding day he found himself prisoner of the Mistress of the Copper Mountain. No matter how hard she treated Danila he did not forget Katya, his bride. Katya went to search for him and hit upon a magic catacomb. On seeing such faithfullness the Mistress of the Copper Mountain let the beloved go and gave them a malachite casket.
