Plot synopsis
The subject is the classic play by Nikolai Ostrovsky transposed to the contemporary era. A Russian singer does not return to the Soviet Union after her concerts in France. As a result, the Russian authorities deprive her of Russian citizenship and her grandson, who remains at home. Like the heroine of Ostrovsky's play Kruchinina, Anna - the heroine of the film - believes her child is dead. And only many years later, famous all over the world, she returns to Russia and finds her son.
