The year of 1934. Sasha Voronkova’s family life doesn’t go well, housekeeping is not enough for her - she wants to go to work. Her husband doesn’t approve of it and the couple has to divorce. Sasha takes the course of engine-driver assistant and gets the right to drive an engine on her own. During the war time she is the driver of troop trains. Displaying heroism and initiative Sasha timely delivers to the front armament and ammunition and is given the honorary title - Hero of Socialist Labour.
