Plot synopsis

- The Fiery Shaft-bow :
The battle of Kursk, the largest armored battle in the history of warfare. The Soviet tank corps delivers the Nazis army its first major defeat of the war.
- Breakthrough :
The Soviet army's assault against the occupying fascist armies in 1944. The events of the film begin with the crossing of the Dniepr River.
- Direction of the main blow :
"Operation Bagration," the largest military assualt undertaken by the Soviet army in the autumn of 1944. The goal of the operation was to liberate Belorussia and open the way for the Soviet armies to begin moving west towards Berlin.
- The Battle for Berlin :
The events of the spring of 1945: the Soviet Union launches the largest military campaign of the war against Berlin while the Allies encounter little resistance on the Western front.
- The Final storming :
the storming of Berlin and of the Reichstag. The first signs of victory are celebrated in the streets of a devastated city.
