20s, Turkmenistan. Halli-bay goes to the Basmachi, leaving his sick wife and daughter. Stefan, an Austrian who was captured during the war and fled to Turkmenistan, often visits the house. With his help, the Red Army eliminate the ambush of the Basmachi, but Halli-bay manages to escape, taking his daughter with him. Night falls, Jamal runs away, and Stefan, protecting the freedom of the girl, kills Halli-bai and dies himself.
