This film (1975) is the most complete and realised incarnation of Pelešjan’s creative method. The film tells the story of the life of an Armenian village lost in the mountains. The cyclical structure of the film and typically Pelešjan repetition of the material in various registers turns the passing of daily news of the peasant community into a poetic metaphor. The point of view of the material is defined by the speed of the movement and articulates the pulsing transformation of the reality of day to day life into a poetic reality.
