Plot synopsis
In early 2000 french Mark Are comes to Saint-Petersburg with two bags: one of them keeps the money, the other one – pieces of the Berlin Wall. Mark buys a shared apartment from Elena Verkhovskaya, whose family has been living there before revolution, and turns it not merely into his house, but into the magnet place for St. Petersburg musicians and artists. Mark decides to give each of them one square meter of his apartment as a gift. The story about not ordinary person, ordinary communal apartment and the whole epoch in «The walls» film.
