Biography
Born in 1960 in Leipzig. Graduated from the electrotechnical department
of LIKI (1982). After serving in the army worked as assistant
sound director at «Lenfilm» studio, the assistant director on the
movies «Klim Samgin», «Without a Uniform», «Pants». Worked at
A.German’s Association. Writes prose. Wrote scripts to his own
movies as well as for the films «Reflection in the Mirror»
(dir. S.Proskurina), wrote dialogues for «Quiet Pages» (dir. A.Sokurov).
Author of the novellas «C-Flat Minor», «Austrian Field» (supplement to
the anthology «Petropol», 1994). Winner of the Tsarskoye Selo Prize
«For Consistent Search of Art Form» (1993).
