Alexander Kulikov is a member of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation and "Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation" (2014). November 28, 2016 the Robinson helicopter, on which the actor flew with his assistant Maria Suslova, fell in the mountains seven kilometers south of Alushta, on the way from Yalta to Belogorsk. Three people died in the helicopter crash, including the actor and the head of the Soyuz Marins Group film company Alexander Kulikov.
