Biography
Pavel Semchenko graduated from an art school. Since 1988, actor of the Da-Net Theatre. In 1989, together with V. Vasiliev and M. Isayev, created the Russian Engineering Theatre AKHE. As a director, artist, and actor, took part in creation of the following performances: "229 Wrong Motions", "Plug-n-Play", "Requiem for Space", "White Cabin", "Instead of Words", "All, What and K°", "Gobo. Digital Glossary", "Mr Carmen", "Double Casper", "Darvaldaya Mondegrinom", "Depot of Genius Delusions", "Catalogue of the Hero", "Lulla-Lullaby", "Wet Wedding", "Pas-Imitation of Dramatic Machine", "Middle Black", "Faust Cubed. 2360 Words", "Electric Cabaret". Together with M. Didenko, worked as a director and actor on performance "Continuous Curve". Took part in theatrical projects of other theatres, including: Formalny Teatr, V. Polunin Theatre, Teatro di Capua, and Protheatrical Association The Drystone in Saint Petersburg, Laantaren Theatre in Rotterdam, Toihous in Salzburg, Project Teatr in Germany, Theater Derevo, St. Petersburg–Dresden. Works in the cinema as a director and an actor; as an artist, takes part in exhibitions, installations, performances, makes illustrations.
