Plot synopsis
This is the story of an amazing girl, Alexandra Platoshina. She’s lived all her life in a hunter’s lodge with her grandfather, a former USSR champion in boxing. To pass the time the man has been training his granddaughter. So by the age of 25 she’s become a perfect fighter. Due to the circumstances and owing to an acquaintance with the well-known promoter Golikov, Alexandra comes to Moscow where they start training her to become a professional boxer. Pretty quickly there comes a chance for Alexandra to prove her talent. Joan Miller, a world boxing champion, arrives in Moscow and Golikov manages to outbid the rights to this fight: the famous champion versus the inexperienced Alexandra Platoshina. Her training sessions are becoming more and more intense. Alexandra has to literally live in the gym. She worms permission out of her couch to leave the training centre in order to spend just a few hours in Moscow. But this short breather has proved enough to have changed the whole life of the heroine…
