The film is about the life and scientific activities of academician, scientist-zootechnitian Mikhail F. Ivanov, who created a new breed of cattle within short period of time, which was of great necessity during hungry post-revolutionary years. The new breed was created by interbreeding domestic low-efficient breeds of cattle with elite foreign breeds.
