Galia is a drunken and brawling pimp in a village in the Omsk region on the border with Kazakhstan. Parental rights to her daughter Zoia are taken away and papers are prepared to send the child to an orphanage. The mother kidnaps her child and leaves for Kazakhstan along the smugglers' trails with her autistic boyfriend Stassik. This is where Zoia's biological father lives, a shepherd with large flocks of sheep. Along the way awaits them an adventure and events that will bring them closer together and make them better understand the nature of human relationships.
