In the mountains of the Abakan Range, in the remote Siberian taiga, lives the unique hermit Agafya Karpovna, the last of the Lykov family of Old Believers. Many have heard of their history. Back in 1936, the Lykov family settled in the deep taiga, far from people. Geologists "discovered" the Lykov family in 1978. At that time, the family consisted of a father and four children. When meeting with people, at first they were very frightened, but then they nevertheless made contact and began to tell the guests about their lifestyle. It turned out that they themselves weave their own clothes and weave shoes from birch bark, while everyone can read and write, however, in the Old Church Slavonic language. It turned out that the Lykovs lead a deeply religious lifestyle, which at one time became the reason for their departure to the taiga.
