During the German occupation, Isaac Berg lost all his relatives, and he miraculously survived. One day a gypsy appears in his house. They start a new life together, but one idea haunts the old man. Having experienced so much grief, he believes that one day the Messiah will come and revive his loved ones, who were shot by the Nazis.
