A gold treasure was stolen, found during archaeological excavations at the Tsarsky burial mounds in Kazakhstan. Fearing that unique things will be melted down into ingots, museum curator Georgy Zimin begins an investigation himself, but as a result of an unprofessional investigation he loses his beloved woman.
