The film is dedicated to an heroic page of the biography of Vassili Porikine (1920-1944), hero of the Soviet Union, who organized illegal groups in the French camp of Beaumont. Once he escaped, he took an active part in the French Resistance and led a unit of former prisoners who had become partisans in the north of France.
