Plot synopsis
The film centers on the complicated and thorny life of Ivan Pavlov, the Russian physiologist and a Nobel prize laureate who found new methods for studying the physiology of the digestive glands and animal brain functions.
For this film, the main members of the crew and cast received the Stalin Prize (first class) of 1949: G. Roshal, M. Papava, A. Borisov, F. Nikitin, V. Chestnokov, V. Gordanov, M. Magid, L. Sokolsky (1950).
Labour Award at the 2nd IFF in Govaldov, Czechoslovakia (1949).
Award to A. Borisov for Best Male Lead at the 4th IFF in Marianske Lazne, Czechoslovakia (1949).
