Born in 1938. Graduated from the scriptwriting department of
the VGIK (1965, workshop of I.M. Manevich). Made his debut
as the scriptwriter of the film “Where the Long Winter Is”
(1967). Has written scripts to more than ten films, including
“Ship-boy of the Northern Fleet” (1974), “The Underage”
(1975),”Love at first sight” (1975), “Mistakes of Youth”
(1977), “Vanechka” (2006), “The Red Square” TV series,
(2001). A writer, author of international bestsellers “The Red
Square” (1984), “A Journalist for Brezhnev” (1984), “Alien
Face” (1985), and others. Film director since 2008.
