Graduated from Moscow State University, Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics in 1990 and from the Film Directing Department of the Moscow State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK, under Marlen Khutsiyev) in 2000. BBC, ZDF, and others.
She is a founder of the EEFilms (“Ekaterina Eremenko Films”) production company based in Berlin. Ekaterina directed such documentaries as «Meistersinger: The Sound of Russia» (2003), «Big Bones - Big Business» (2004), and « My Class - Was aus uns wurde» (2008). She was nominated for the Laurel Branch, the Russian national documentary cinema award.
