It is a film about loneliness, the abandoned children of all, the coming of age, adolescent maximalism, the betrayal of loved ones, the sinking of ideals and the difficult choice of the right path in life by a teenager. After the death of his mother, the young Kolia, aged twelve, is sent to an orphanage. He is then taken in by Valentina, his own aunt, a lonely old maid he had never seen before. Kolia waits for his older brother to pick him up when he gets out of prison. They can then go home.
