Plot synopsis
A family tragedy forces Piotr, a fierce skeptic and realist, to go to the very heart of the Judean desert in search of Amoun, a mystical starets (old wise man) who, according to rumor, has a healing gift. The burning sands will test Piotr's principles, subjecting him to biblical temptations. Here, we can survive without water, but we cannot survive without faith. Mirages mix with reminiscences of the past, thoughts mix with feelings. And the main hero learns to live again, at the cost of self-sacrifice.
