Plot synopsis
A poor mother and daughter lose their home because they can’t pay back what they owe to a usurer. The mother is forced to sew day and night while the daughter goes begging with a barrel organ and her little monkey, Jacky. But Jacky is clever and the usurer is no match for such an opponent.
