This is a film about war without war. There are no missiles except for the festive fireworks shooting up above the forest. There are no battles except for those that happen by themselves between close people. A military overcoat is harder to be taken off than put on. Not the parting but the meeting becomes a real ordeal. Peace turns out to be the main allegory of war.
