Plot synopsis
Siberian Patrol was based on The Armoured Train, a play by Vsevolod Ivanov. Set in 1918, the story concerns a group of courageous Russian soldiers who endeavor to transport a cannon across the Siberian border. Unfortunately, the only bridge in the vicinity is under the control of British troops. A band of hardy civilian guerillas manage to capture one of the British soldiers, the first of several steps towards their ultimate victory. It isn't hard for audiences to distinguish the heroes from the villains in Siberian Patrol; the British officers are all wealthy, drunken libertines, while the Russians are all poor but sin-free.
