In recent years, Yakut cinema has become an increasingly important part of Russian cinema. The Yakut Film Festival, at L'Entrepôt cinema in Paris, offers not only the chance to see a selection of films, but also to meet leading figures and specialists in Yakut cinema.

This is the third edition of this young festival dedicated to Russian auteur cinema, created in December 2022. Out of competition, this edition features a tribute to Mosfilm, which is celebrating its centenary, and a short but interesting program of films for children.

From 20 to 30 November 2024 in Paris: 8th Festival of Eastern Cultures. A Weekend in the East. This year it's Armenia's turn. 6 exceptional films will be screened: - 3 are films by the famous documentary filmmaker Artavazd PELECHIAN (Артавазд ПЕЛЕШЯН) - 2 are very famous films by Sergei PARADJANOV (Сергей ПАРАДЖАНОВ) (1924-1990), whose Centenary of birth is being celebrated this year - a very fine 1926 comedy Chor and Chorchor by Amo BEK-NAZARIAN (Амо БЕК-НАЗАРЯН).
