Inna Tchourikova est née le 5 octobre 1943. Elle fait des études à l'Ecole Supérieure de Théâtre Chtchepkine où elle est élève de L. Volkov et L. Tsygankov. Elle en sort diplômée en 1965. Ses premiers grands succès cinématographiques, elle les obtient en jouant dans les films de Panfilov Pas de Gué dans le feu et Le Début.

A partir de 1975 elle joue au théâtre Lenkom. Elle joue dans Ivanov, La tragédie Optimiste, Trois jeunes filles en bleu. Elle interprètera dans Hamlet le rôle d'Ophélie dans la mise en scène de Tarkovski et celui de Gertrude dans la mise en scène de Panfilov. Elle interprétera aussi plusieurs rôles du répertoire classique russe parmi lesquels Mamaeva dans Le sage d'Ostrovski, Arkadina dans La mouette de Tchékhov.

Devenue l'épouse de Gleb Panfilov, elle a joué l'un des rôles principaux de tous ses films de fiction à l'exception de Les Romanov, une famille couronnée dont elle est coscénariste.

Inna Tchourikova est artiste du Peuple de l'Union Soviétique et lauréate des prix nationaux de l'Union Soviétique et de la Russie.
