Biography
Director of feature films, actor. Born on 6 February 1964 in Novosibirsk. Graduated from Novosibirsk Theatre School, then from the acting faculty of the Moscow State Theatre Institute GITIS (1990). As actor participated in Vladimir Ageev’s independent theatre projects, acted in films, worked in advertising. In 2003 he made his first feature film «The Return», which received the «Golden Lion of St Mark» and the Luigi de Laurentis Award for Best Debut («Lion of the Future») at the IFF in Venice, and a host of other prizes and professional annual awards; winner of awards of the film academies «Nika» and «Golden Eagle».
