Born in Moscow in 1945, he graduated as
a director from a drama department at
Moscow’s film school VGIK. From 1971 he
worked at a studio that produced popular
science films; during this time he directed
over 15 productions, largely about the
cosmos. From 1977-80 he made 20 commercials
for the Soviet Union’s Ministry of
Foreign Affairs. He now works as a writer
and director for “InterVideoCon“ studio in
Moscow. MOSKVA. PRIDE ’06 marks his first
feature-length documentary.
