Plot synopsis
Sergei is a bicycle coach and his wife of 20 years, Elena, a bookshop owner. From a minor domestic disagreement an unexpectedly serious conflict emerges that threatens to turn into divorce. Sergei makes an instantaneous decision. He leaves home without anticipating that his life can change so much in only a few hours. Sergei is dragged into a torrent of uproarious misadventures by his best friend, testing his matrimonial ties. Ilya Severov’s feature film debut is a sharp, witty and provocative romantic comedy melodrama about love and family life set in a sumptuous St Petersburg.
