Plot synopsis
Arakcheev is charged with the murder of three civilians in Chechnya. Investigation was held with multiple violations and manipulations, with hard pressure and threats to the witnesses and the accused. Considering these circumstances, two compositions of the trial jury declared Arakcheev not guilty. Both verdicts were annulled based on formal circumstances with violations of fundamental legal principles. It is the third process in the row, which was held by the military court without the trial jury that found him guilty and sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment in a maximum security penal colony. Prejudgment of the court is obvious; however the Supreme Court of the RF declines the appeal of the defense.
However, Sergei does not give up even in the imprisonment. At his own initiative he is tested on polygraph (“Lie Detector”), remembering yet another time how everything has happened in fact. There are still 10 long years of imprisonment in store for him.
