Plot synopsis
The reindeer herdsman Vukvukai has been living deep in Chukot-ka for 72 years. He is a powerful and sage old man, a real man of the Tundra, whose life is inseparable from the deer. His group takes care of an enormous herd of more than 14 thousand deer. Their life is an incessant struggle for survival and well-being in the severe weather of Chuan-Chukotka. Because of their deep faith in the power of traditions they are successful in their struggle. The people are protected by the ancient culture of Chukchi deer-herdsmen who live by it and preserve it. While things stay that way the world goes on as before. That is the truth of Vukvukai.
