Plot synopsis
The film describes the art-centre “Pushkinskaya, 10”, a communion of independent artists, musicians and poets that organized a creative union “Free Culture Partnership”. At the end of the 80s they occupied an abandoned house in the heart of St.-Petersburg and transformed it into one of the most famous Russian centers of contemporary art. 50 different heroes of the film make it resemble a bright mosaic. Their different views, memories, gestures and word pictures draw together a counterpoint image of contemporary Petersburg bohemia world parallel to many others. The film shows how the artists opposed the soviet system and their collaboration for survival during Perestroika.
