Plot synopsis
The early 50s. Sudden frosts unusual for the Black Sea shore killed orange trees in the experimental botanical station. The only exemplar was left and it was necessary to pollinate it. The young naturalists set out in search of a garden supposedly held by a stockkeeper, to whom Natasha’s father who was dead had once handed over the seeds. Having found the stockkeeper, the children took the pollen and performed pollination successfully. In autumn the trees gave «golden apples».
