Plot synopsis
The first example of stop-motion animation in world cinema, a comedy-drama about insects. King Cervus gives a magnificent ball at his castle. The most honored guest in the Country of Moustache-Owners is count Heros. The dressed-up guests whirl away to the sound of the waltz. Cervus himself with queen Leukanida, the beauty and pride of the country of horn-owners, at his side is seated on the throne. Heros is struck by Leukanida’s beauty. The queen accepts his outstretched hand and follows him to the park. There Heros declares his love for her and never suspects that one of the guards is already on his way to Cervus to inform him of Leukanida’s unfaithfulness…
