Plot synopsis
Part 3 of the „Maxim“ trilogy (the first two parts are “Maxim’s Youth” and “The Return of Maxim”) about the first months of Petrograd life following the revolution of 1917. For this trilogy, the main members of the crew and cast received the Stalin Prize (first class): G. Kozintsev, L. Trauberg, B. Chirkov (1941).
