1943. After running into a spot where a battle had taken place a young Hutsul girl Annychka found an injured soldier. She hid him, treated his wounds and fell in love with him. Now Annychka hates her fiance, who has become a Nazi policeman. She decides to run to the partisans with her beloved one.
