Was born in Kaliningrad. He graduated from Moscow State Industrial University, then moved to London, where he continued his studies at the London Film Academy, until he successfully graduated in 2012. He shot two short films. He also shot commercials and music videos in England, Switzerland, Brazil and Russia. In 2016, Yuri, in cooperation with producer Ashot Kazaryan, founded his own production company InTune Media. At the moment he is working on his first full-length feature film.
